# Commercial Monitoring
**Commercial Monitoring** compares **targets** and **sales results**, **contribution**, **purchases**, and **expenses** daily, making it possible to identify deviations and take more **effective** actions.

> ## **What Is Displayed in the Exchange Inventory Balance?**
>
> The Inventory Monitoring routine records the inventory position when the consistency check is performed.\
> In summary, the inventory displayed in this routine corresponds to exchanges that have not yet been completed with the supplier, meaning items that have already been negotiated and are still awaiting action from the supplier, and that appear on the Inventory/Exchange screen when the consistency check for that day is completed.\
> When a return invoice is issued to the supplier or when the item is removed from the inventory/exchange, after a new consistency check is performed, the system no longer considers that item because it is no longer part of the exchange inventory.\
> Important: exchanges made with end consumers are not included in this validation.

> 1\. The Controllership **Sales Cost**, used to calculate the **contribution amount**, is the **cost including tax**.\
> If the **“Uses Average Cost”** flag is enabled in the **ERP Price Administration routine settings**, it will not be possible to verify the sales cost.

> 2\. Entry Amount is the sum of the Entry column in Entry and Exit and the cost including tax of internal transfers.
>
> \
> 3\. Exit Amount is the sum of the Exit column in Entry and Exit and the cost including tax of internal transfers.

> 4\. The Controllership **Total Purchases** is the sum of the 2**entry** amounts and 3**exit** amounts from Commercial Monitoring.

> 5\. **Controllership does not retrieve store-to-store transfer information** directly from **Inventory**. Only outbound invoices of the **transfer type** are included. The “**Accounts for Store Inventory Transfer**” option in the Entry and Exit report parameters must remain unchecked.
>

> 6\. Controllership uses the **entry types** included in the **Entry and Exit settings** to **determine what is considered a merchandise purchase**.
>

> 7\. Controllership uses the **exit types** included in the **Entry and Exit settings** to **determine** which purchased merchandise was **transferred or returned**.
>
> \
> 8\. An **Internal Transfer** creates an exit from the level 1 commercial category of the **selected product** and creates an **entry** in the **commercial category specified** in the Commercial Category field. *Always record transfers with operation type = entry (requires ERP 4.1.36+).*

> 1. Access **Controllership > Metrics**, select the stores and period to monitor the indicators. Tap the AI icon to start a commercial analysis.

> ## Commercial Monitoring by Commercial Category
>
> 1. In **Metrics**, open **Commercial Monitoring** and select an indicator. Use **Type** to filter the results by commercial category, day, or both.

> 2. In **Commercial Monitoring**, tap **Details** and select an indicator. Use the arrow to open the lower levels and view the results by tab.

> ## Monitoring by Store
>
> 1. In **Metrics**, locate Commercial Monitoring, select an indicator, and filter by **store**, **day**, or **store and day** to view and compare the results.

> 2. In **Commercial Monitoring**, tap **Details** and select a tab to view the indicators and results for each store.

> 
>
> ## Loss, Breakage, and Consumption
>
> In **Metrics**, open the details to compare **loss, breakage, and consumption** by commercial category or store. You can also view the **margin and financial indicators**.

>
> ## Offers, Payments, and Due Dates
>
> Switch between the tabs to compare sales **with and without offers**, view payment methods, and check the average collection and payment terms.

>
> ## Ranking by Commercial Category
>
> Switch between **Sales**, **Contribution**, and **Purchases** to identify the commercial categories with the highest participation in each indicator.
>
> 
>
> ## Commercial and Financial Comparisons
>
> View the **purchases and sales** and **receipts and payments** charts to compare amounts and monitor transactions throughout the period.
